How do you handle money or is money handling you? Everyone of us deals with money everyday. And we work hard to earn money to be able to live. But are you the boss of your money, or is money the master and you are the slave?
ARE YOU A GOOD STEWARD OF MONEY?
MONEY is not the root of all evil. Its one of those misquoted line, but according to God’s word “the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.”
“The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows” (I Timothy 6:10).
Money itself is neither good nor evil. It’s a medium of exchange, and a way or means of people to trade. We are the ones who decides whether we use our money for good or for evil.
Though year 2020 was hard for all of us due to pandemic, some good things happened in 2020. It was a year of victory for us, the year of financial freedom from years of debt.
I have learned some lessons on how to handle money. After being in bondage financially for many years. I know, most people became slaves of debt and are financially in bondage. But there is a way how to have freedom from it.
All of us deal with money, young and old, rich and poor. And Its not bad to be rich, or aspire to be rich. Its not bad to accumulate lots or to have lots of money. But we have to be careful not to be enslave with money. We should be the master, we tell the money where to go. Not the money dictating us what to do or where to go.
If we’re not careful, one way or another we will fall into financial bondage and get into debt. Debt that will cause more and more other problems in life.
I speak for myself and my husband based on our experience. We’ve carry the financial burden for few years. We don’t tell it to others before because we’re ashamed also we don’t want judgment from others. But now that we’re free we wanted to shout and thank God for the victory. And we wanted to share our experience to help others too who are struggling with debt. I’ll be sharing how we did wrestled with debt bondage and how we became victorious.
My one piece of advice if I have to put it into one sentence is; BE A GOOD STEWARD. See yourself as the manager of money, wealth or possession and God is the owner of all of it. Everything belongs to God, we are stewards of what God has given us. And we are accountable on how we use it or where we put it.
If we know that God owns everything we will seek God and look for wisdom on how to handle money. We will use it in ways that will give glory to Him. In doing so, He will blessed us and enables us to prosper.
BE A GOOD STEWARD OF YOUR MONEY. USE IT IN WAYS THAT WILL GLORIFY GOD. ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT GOD IS THE SOURCE OF EVERYTHING, HE GIVES YOU STRENGTH TO BE ABLE TO MAKE MONEY. AND HE IS ABLE TO BLESSED YOU AND PROSPER YOU.
