CRAFTING MAKES ME HAPPY

My decoupage projects

Do you love crafting? I DO!

I love DIY projects and all those handmade products. Products that are not mass produced. Those things that are specially crafted and made.

I just realized that there must be a reason why i took handicraft in high school. All my closest friends took cooking, but i chose handicraft. Cooking is more costly than handicraft classes, that’s why i went to handicraft class. God had bless me with hands to craft.

Thanks to all my instructors who thought me embroidery, crochet, hardanger embroidery, shirt paiting, cross stitch, and other crafts.

Being crafty means, you don’t want to throw anything that can be of use. Objects that can be repurpose, recycle or upcycle or be decorated.

Every time i see something, i am thinking that i can decorate it and make it into something.

It brings me joy when i had finish a project. And i love when i can turn an object into something. Object that is like almost garbage (not wanted) but turned out into a beautiful piece.

I think crafting is good for your health and also for the environment.

It makes your brain work and squeeze out your creativity. And using recycled materials is good for our environment. Not sending all those things to the landfill but up cycling them.

My husband had put up with me for many years. If you visit our home, you’ll see lots of objects that are for crafting. And mostly i have ideas to make them but i don’t find time to make them.

So i have to stop hoarding all objects so that they’re not a just a collection. But really find time to make them into beautiful crafts.

Yes, collecting craft supplies and actually making them is 2 separate thing.

Glue gun, glitters, scissors are few of my friends. I have lots of them all around our house.

If you love crafting but just don’t have time to do anything. You can take a break and try creating something.

You’ll be pleased with what you can make and find joy while doing it. But beware, crafting is addictive. Once you start it, it will follow you around.

I say find time to relax and enjoy the world. Take a break and find a hobby that you like and love. Make some DIY gifts and decorate your home with things that you’ve made.

There’s happiness in crafting, explore yours.
