My decoupage projects

Decoupage is the art of cutting out pictures and gluing them to an object and then coating the picture and the object with layers of varnish.

Decoupage comes from the French word decouper meaning “to cut out”. This art can be used to personalize almost anything.

BASIC TOOLS

  • Decoupage glue
  • Scissors
  • Craft Knife
  • Sponge/cloth
  • Paintbrush/Foam brush
  • Foam dubber
  • Sandpaper
  • Varnish/Sealer

SIMPLE TECHNIQUE

  1. Prepare object to decoupage, clean surface
  2. Cut out the images from paper or fabric.
  3. Arrange the pictures on your object.
  4. Glue on the pictures and let dry.
  5. Seal/varnish the image and the object. Apply few layers of varnish, letting dry after every layer.

NOW YOU’VE CREATED A WORK OF ART.
