ECO FRIENDLY PRODUCTS THAT WILL SAVE YOU MONEY AND THE PLANET

In view of our world’s waste problem, I’ve decided to search for more eco friendly products or sustainable products. Products that not only can save me money but will also be friendly to our environment. I was alarmed with all the news and reports that waste is a really big problem. Meaning BIG, not only for the environment but also for our future. Problem that also affect our health. It’s a really big concern for me and if I don’t do anything about it, i have not fulfill my duty as a christian and as a citizen of this world. It’s not only for me but for my kids and for their future and for all the dwellers of this earth.

WHAT DOES SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS MEAN?

Sustainable products are those products that provide environmental, social and economic benefits while protecting public health and environment over their whole life cycle, from the extraction of raw materials until the final disposal. – WIKIPEDIA –

Here’s some of the sustainable products that I’ve found:

1.Sustainable toothbrush – Biodegradable toothbrushes made out of natural materials such as bamboo. Most of them comes with nylon bristles, and those with charcoal-infused bristles.

2. Reusable Straw – Washable straws comes in glass, silicone or stainless steel.

3. Reusable Produce Bags – Mostly made from polyethylene or other plastic film, produce bags are used for consumer in-store packaging of fruits and vegetables.

4. Reusable Grocery Bags – Its a type of shopping bag that is washable made from fabric or thick plastic.

5. Reusable Paper Towels – Cloth towels, washable and reusable.

6. Bees Wrap – Organic bees wrap for food washable and compostable.

7. Silicone Storage Bags – Closest substitute for ziploc bags.

8. Reusable Containers – Store your foods on containers such as glass or stainless steel containers.

9. Cloth Diapers – Washable Diapers made from cloth.

10. Washable Menstrual Pads – Cloth Feminine napkins, washable and reusable.

WHY WE SHOULD SWITCH TO REUSABLE PRODUCTS

1. It’s better for our planet. Buy using reusable products you reduce the amount of waste you produce. And lessen the amount of waste in the landfill.
2. It Saves you money. For reusable products, you’ll spend a bit more high at first but in the long run you’ll save on these products. Because it last for years and eliminate the regular expense on disposables.
3. Safer and Durable Materials. Reusable products are made with higher quality and durability better than plastic or disposable ones.

I am an advocate of green living and using natural and reusable products. But it’s not easy to swap disposable products with the reusable ones. Because we are all used to the convenience of disposables. But when I think of all the benefits of the reusable product, for our health and for our environment, i’ll try. I will try to do it even one at the time, and start with a single slow step. Maybe little by little as i try my best, i can make a difference.
