We had a great time last night, a night very well spent with the Watoto Children’s Choir.
So happy and privileged to watch this wonderful children of God.
WATOTO means “Children” in Swahili language
Watoto Childrens Choir is a group of African children choir based in Kampala, Uganda, at Watoto Church (formerly Kampala Pentecostal Church or KPC). Each is composed of about eighteen to twenty-two children from Uganda.
This group serves many purpose. One of them is to share awareness about the work of Watoto around the world. They also serve leadership training for watoto children, providing a strong sense of responsibility while experiencing different cultures. And more importantly, it’s a way to share their faith with people around the world.
I love what one of the person said last night, that in their church it is all about celebrating Christ and caring for community. That’s what church is really all about.
Their church had many program, caring for millions of orphaned childrens in Africa and also helping women to get livelihood. And more activities to help people in their villages.
I was touched by some of the children’s story, where they come from and how God brought them through. One kid said that my story might be different from him, but its the same Jesus. I got to think that I was really bless and my family too. Though sometimes there are difficult situation in life, there is always JESUS-OUR HOPE.
This kids are an inspiration to me, a motivation. To push trough life in Jesus name and to share and care for other people in the community.
