WHAT NOT TO SHARE

We were all taught to share. That sharing is caring and sharing is a good thing to do. YES! we all should share and care for others.

There are things in our lives that should be kept private. Somethings that we should keep to our selves.

But lately, personal and private matters in ones life are not so private anymore. Social media and the whole world knows about every person.

Thanks to Facebook, Instagram and all the other social media platform. We can know what a person looks like when they just woke up and what they wear each day. We’re updated on the places they’ve been and what they eat and where they usually eat. And what their plans on the coming days, weeks or years. And more other information that we once never knew, now its all open to public.

I am not against social media, in fact its a great tool and a big help on connecting with families and for business purposes. But some other information that we can read there, should never be there. Some are not even real, so as what people are saying around us don’t believe everything you see or read on Facebook or internet.

Its so sad to see or read some family or personal relationships misunderstandings are even posted. I just read someone says that in the olden days(before social media was born) people say grace (pray)before eating, now its different, we prepare the food and we take picture of eat before we eat.

Some post about the people they don’t like and the fights their in. People are exchanging nasty words to each other too.

Well, i am not asking people to stop posting about things that they wanted all people to know, but do you really want every person in your friends list to know everything.

Try to post positive things that will enlighten people. Try to live good comments on someones post.

Why do some people update or post every single thing that they do everyday? It is not bad all in all, but you have to choose what to show the world and think of the people that will see or read it.

Some things you should not post on social media:

  1. Anything negative that is work related. Do not use you account to just complained about people around your work.
  2. Information tied to your personal and financial security.
  3. Your full birthday and location.
  4. Your travel plans.
  5. Embarrassing photos of you or others.
  6. Gossip or personal attack.
  7. Offensive jokes and post.
  8. Other peoples news.
  9. Other peoples/kids photos.
  10. Information that is too personal.
  11. Medical information.
  12. Humble brags.
  13. Photos of you that you want to keep private.
  14. Attention seeking post.

Before you announce everything to the whole world, be considerate of the people who will see and read your post. Anything you post on social media becomes public and all the world will know.

THINK BEFORE YOU POST ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT.
